My Life Ticket

This is my Life Ticket, a list of hopes, dreams, and achievements.

Some people call it a bucket list, five-year plan or an impossible list but mine is called a Life Ticket.

This is not a place simply to list things and tick them off.  Each and everything recorded is very personal to me.

My Life Ticket is there to keep me motivated and move me forward as I get older in life.  It is a signifier to help me grow and become the best person I can be. This is a list of things I want to do which can make a difference to others as well as to myself.  Some challenges on the list will be hard to complete, others incredibly scary (only in a good way, I don’t do scary scary), as I endeavour to keep pushing myself to experience new ideas, new people, and new places.

There are no time limits because, this list…is for life.


  • Create a beautiful, functioning, sustainable green garden (Completed August 2014)
  • Create a new beautiful, functioning, sustainable green garden.
  • Eat only what I grow for 7 days straight
  • Support 25 people to start growing their own veggies (Completed February 2015)
  • Inspire 100 people to grow their own fruit/veg/herbs
  • Plant 50 trees
  • Plant 100 trees
  • Grow food in the garden 12 consecutive months in a year (Completed 2015, 2016 and 2017
  • Collect at least 100 pieces of rubbish from my local area
  • Reduce my plastic consumption to 5%
  • Grow a plant from seed and give it to someone I care about
  • Create a side hustle and give entire profits to a charity
  • Reduce meat intake by 50% (Completed 30th April 15)
  • Reduce meat intake by 75% (Completed January 16)
  • Complete Veganuary (Completed 31st January 15)
  • Become a plant-based foodie and stop eating meat entirely (Completed on and off 2015-17 – full time from January 2018)
  • Giveaway 100 packets of veg/herb seeds
  • Create a cut flower bed from seed (Completed summer of 17)

Business and Hustle:

  • Write and publish a free eBook on ‘How to Start GYO’ (Completed 30th March 15)
  • Finish a novel for NaNoWriMo (Completed 30th November 12)

  • Lose two stone (28lbs) in weight (Completed 19th August 13)
  • Weigh 135lbs without restrictive dieting
  • Complete a handstand
  • Do 25 pushups

  • Do 100 consecutive squats (Completed 14)
  • Complete a 5k run (Completed 3rd September 13)
  • Complete a 10k run (Completed 21st September 13)
  • Complete a half-marathon run (Completed 21st September 14)
  • Run a 5k in less than 38 minutes (Completed 17th Feb 17)
  • Run a 5k in less than 35 minutes (Completed 12th August 17)

Zen Life:

  • Wake up at 5:30am – 30 days straight
  • Train to become a Mental Health First Aider (Completed December 14)

  • Write every day for 30 days straight
  • Write every day for 70 days straight

  • Remove myself from all social media for 30 days straight
